Did you know you could return your unused or expired medications to your community pharmacy?!
Unused medications can pose a significant health, safety and environmental hazard when improperly stored or disposed of. That's why for 2012, BC Pharmacy Association has been teaming up with regional districts throughout the province to promote safe medication returns!
You can read the latest news releases about the campaign here.
The B.C. Medications Return Program has been in place since 1996. This program allows the public to return (at no charge) unused or expired medications to participating pharmacies in the province.
Check your medicine cabinet for unused or expired medicines and bring them in to your local pharmacist for environmentally responsible disposal. Visit http://www.medicationsreturn.ca/ for more information on this program and to find a participating pharmacy in your area.
