BC Pharmacy Day

This year's BC Pharmacy Day took place on March 23, 2015, at the BC Legislature in Victoria. Pharmacy Day is a unique opportunity for MLAs, government officials and legislative staff to learn about the important role pharmacists play in providing British Columbians with vital health services. During Pharmacy Day, the Association also held a number of meetings with cabinet ministers, MLAs, as well as senior officials in the Premier’s office and Ministry of Health to discuss pharmacy’s role in the health care system.

Four Key Areas of Focus in 2015

This year the BCPhA focused on four areas of innovation that can have a positive impact on our health-care system:

  1. Warfarin Management in Community Pharmacies
  2. Medication Adherence
      - Trial Prescription Program
      - Cardiovascular Risk Management
  3. Immunizations
  4. Genomics for Precision Drug Therapy in the Community Pharmacy
