Ayaz Karmali is the Associate/ Owner at Shoppers Drug Mart in Aldergrove. He graduated from the University of Bath in the U.K.

He practiced for 9 years in the U.K in various management roles before moving to Canada. He is an advocate for the pharmacy profession and is passionate about highlighting the myriad ways that pharmacists can and do support primary care.

Ayaz consistently champions the evolving role of community pharmacists through facilitating various talks and presentations on topics such RSV vaccines, Shingles, and Pneumococcal vaccines, Travel medicine, and Acne treatment. Through these talks and presentations, he seeks to drive awareness of the pharmacist’s vital role in patient care. Ayaz has facilitated pharmaceutical talks for Pfizer, Valneva, Merck, GSK, Loreal and Embecta.

He was also part of the Shoppers Drug Mart Diversity and Inclusion Working group and is currently a member of The UBC experiential education advisory group.
