Pneumococcal disease is common in young children, but older adults are at greater risk for complications and deaths. Gain a better understanding of pneumococcal vaccination as we host a webinar with Ajit Johal on December 5, 2023. This webinar is designed to empower pharmacists with the latest knowledge and tools to address the evolving burden of pneumococcal disease in Canadian adults. The session will delve into crucial aspects, including sero-epidemiology data and current unmet needs in vaccine prevention.

After attending this session, pharmacists will be better able to:
- Illustrate the evolving burden of pneumococcal disease and sero-epidemiology data in Canadian adults
- Identify current unmet needs in vaccine prevention and discuss the current NACI recommendations for pneumococcal conjugate vaccines
- Explore the opportunities and challenges for implementation of new vaccines, including pneumococcal conjugate vaccines, in adults
