Over the last few weeks, approximately 600 community pharmacies in B.C. have been involved in the roll-out of the AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD vaccine program. The age eligibility has recently been expanded to people 40 years and older. By all measures, community pharmacists have stepped up to help British Columbians gain important protection against the virus.
As the campaign continues, information and guidance is constantly evolving to support pharmacies. Join the BCPhA and two members from the B.C. Ministry of Health to learn about the logistics of handling the vaccines and updated information on the required reports to PharmaNet for COVID-19 vaccines. The webinar will be 30 minutes with 15 minutes allotted for Q&A from the audience. Pharmacists involved in the COVID-19 vaccine campaign are encouraged to attend this webinar.
