Where:
Holiday Inn – 711 W. Broadway, Vancouver BC

The PHO order has recently been updated to authorize regulated pharmacy technicians (RPhT) to administer COVID-19 vaccines and includes the specific limits and mandatory training requirements that RPhTs must complete in order to administer the vaccinations.

The BCPhA is offering a skills training workshop for pharmacy technicians to gain hands-on experience in administering intramuscular injections. This 4 hour in-person workshop was developed in accordance with the BCCDC’s COVID-19 Immunization Skills Checklist and will led by an experienced injection-certified pharmacist instructor. The intent of the course is to prepare technicians to meet the BCCDC Skills Checklist in order to administer COVID-19 vaccinations. Please note that this is not a certificate program nor is it mandatory, as the Order does not require a specific program for in-person education.

More dates will be posted in the near future depending on interest. If you would like to be notified of a future session, please add your contact information onto the wait list.

Registration requires a BCPhA account. If you do not have an account, please sign up for one at this link.

Registration Information

The registration fee for the workshop is $200.

**Due to COVID-19, injection workshops will have reduced capacity at a maximum of 8 registrants per session**
