Latest Updates in HPV – What BC Pharmacists Need to Know

When:
April 24, 2024 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Where:
Zoom – Digital Delivery, Vancouver BC

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a virus that can transmit from one person to another during intimate contact, and can cause cervical, genital and anal cancer. In Canada, it is the most common sexually transmitted infection -- and around 75% of sexually active Canadians who have not been immunized against HPV will have an HPV infection at some point in their lives. Through vaccination and screening, patients can protect themselves. Join Dr. Renee Hall on April 24, 2024 as she discusses the burden of HPV-related diseases and cancers, the goals for elimination, a review of the latest clinical data, review of cervical screening and the role of pharmacists in HPV prevention.
