The BCPhA is beginning our work to prepare a submission to the Minister of Health and the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions on the role we believe pharmacy should play in the next few years. We want to be sure that pharmacists, pharmacy owners and operators from all over the province help us develop our submissions to the new government.

Pharmacists have and will continue to play a key role in the COVID-19 pandemic and the opportunities to be continue this essential role will evolve over the next few months such as COVID vaccinations. We want to hear from you about how COVID has changed your practice, how it has impacted your relationships with your patients and how this provides opportunities for the future.

We all know there are numerous untapped opportunities for pharmacists to play a greater role in delivering care to their patients. Making the case for prescribing rights, doing more to combat the opioid crisis and how to integrate point of care testing into pharmacies, are all things we know are important. Hearing from you about how best to make the case of why pharmacists should be doing more is critical to our developing our advocacy approach with the new government.
