Presentation Objectives:

In this webinar Cait O'Sullivan will provide a broad overview of non-insulin glucose-lowering medications for patients with Type 2 Diabetes. This webinar will allow pharmacists to compare the narrative of tight glycemic control in persons with Type 2 Diabetes with the evidence in systematic reviews to inform person-centered goals of therapy and to examine the origins of cardiovascular claims for non-insulin glucose-lowering medications to inform person-centered goals of therapy.

About the Speaker

caitstephanie.jpgCait O’Sullivan works as a medical educator with Island Health and BC’s Provincial Academic Detailing Service. She has a practice interest in the drug approval process and clinical practice guideline methodology. She has worked previously in community and hospital pharmacy. O'Sullivan received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of New Brunswick, her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy at Dalhousie, and her PharmD at the University of Washington.
