The BC Pharmacy Association Student Ambassadors will be hosting a QPR training session on January 15, 2017 from 5:45 - 8:00 p.m. in room 3208 in the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Building.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. The training session will be for pharmacy students to help them recognize suicide warning signs, approach someone who may be at risk, persuade the person to seek appropriate health services, and connect the person to resources that will help resolve crises.

The session will provide students with an internationally recognized certification on helping someone in a crisis situation. The training cost is sponsored by BCPhA, but a $5 deposit is required for reserving a seat.

Waitlist Information

Due to overwhelming responses all 50 seats filled immediately upon launching registration, but we have a waitlist setup as we may potentially expand the session.
