Our first topic in the BCPhA x PhUS Speaker Series, titled Opportunities in Industry, will be held on October 11, 2019. The session will explore the pharmaceutical industry and its possibilities in Canada. Sharni Sandhar, a 2018 pharmacy graduate now working for Hoffman-La Roche, will be giving a talk on her experiences and role in this renowned pharmaceutical company.
In this talk, Sharni will be giving a brief overview of the pharmaceutical industry as a whole, the various roles pharmacists play within the industry, her current role in Regulatory Affairs and her experience with the residency program.

About the Speaker
Sharni Sandhar is an Associate Program Manager in Global Regulatory Affairs at Hoffman-La Roche. In this role, she supports the development and implementation of regulatory strategies to facilitate the development and approval of medicines for human use. She is a graduate of the UBC Pharmacy Class of 2018 and recently completed the Industry Residency Program through the University of Toronto. At this talk, Sharni will be giving a brief overview of the pharmaceutical industry as a whole, the various roles pharmacists play within the industry, her current role in Regulatory Affairs and her experience with the residency program.
