New HPV vaccine posters have been printed by the BCCDC and are expected to arrive at pharmacies the week of August 5. Because of the expansion of the HPV vaccine (Cervarix) catch up program, please take down the old posters and use the new ones instead.
Eligibility criteria for the HPV vaccine catch up program was recently expanded to include women ≤ 26 years of age at the time of series commencement and born before 1994. This is a one-time program which started in April 2012 and will continue until available vaccine has expired (August 2015).
BCCDC has also updated the Immunization Manual with this expanded eligibility criteria and is updating other web materials on the ImmunizeBC and BCCDC websites.
