You're invited: BCPhA Telephone Town Hall Setting advocacy for the next four years

This week Premier John Horgan announced that the new NDP caucus and cabinet will be sworn in next week. With 57 seats won by the B.C. NDP, it seems clear that the NDP will lead the province for the next four years.

With that in mind, the BC Pharmacy Association is developing a four-year advocacy plan and wants to hear from you.

On Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 6:00 p.m. the BC Pharmacy Association is hosting its third all-member telephone town hall for members to share what you think our advocacy priorities for the next four years.

Previously, our town hall was scheduled on Nov. 25, however, it was announced on the night of Nov. 22 that Health Minister Adrian Dix and Dr. Bonnie Henry will be taking part in their own town hall on Global News that day.

This all-member town hall will be in the same format as our March and June events. It will be a cross between an extremely large conference call and a private call-in radio show. BCPhA President Keith Shaw and CEO Geraldine Vance will be on hand to present information and answer questions. But the most important part of this event is hearing from you.

Bill Tieleman, who hosted our first two events, is back. Bill is the Association’s external government relations consultant, who also has a journalism background and currently co-hosts an online T.V. show.

Members will be called to participate on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 6:00 p.m. There will also be a reminder call on the afternoon of Dec. 1. Please make sure your contact information with the BC Pharmacy Association is up to date.
