Lysa Leong earned her Bachelor of Pharmacy in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of British Columbia in 2012 and became a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2014. She currently practices as a pharmacist at BioPro Biologics Pharmacy, with a focus on managing autoimmune conditions, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, osteoporosis, and the use of medical cannabis for pain management.

In addition to her clinical work, Lysa is a Clinical Instructor with the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and serves as a study pharmacist for a UBC clinical trial investigating low-carbohydrate, low-calorie dietary approaches for inducing remission in type 2 diabetes.

Lysa is passionate about patient education, particularly within the Chinese community, and has delivered education sessions in Cantonese. She also shares evidence-based insights on chronic disease management through her social media platforms under the handle @thecheerfulpharmacist.
