COVID-19 vaccines in B.C. pharmacies

Information for patients

B.C.'s community pharmacies will play a major role in delivering COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible British Columbians. As of Dec. 14, 2021 more than 350 pharmacies in 80 communities are taking appointments for individuals 12 and older. It's expected that more than 1,000 pharmacies across the province will be providing COVID-19 vaccinations by mid-January 2022.

Pharmacies will be offering booster shots to individuals 18 and older once they become eligible. Individuals will be notified when they are eligible for a COVID-19 booster vaccine by the province's Get Vaccinated system. Once you are notified you are eligible for your booster shot, you will be given a choice of locations near you, which may include a community pharmacy, depending on where you live. Pharmacies will be offering mRNA vaccines.

Pharmacies are not providing COVID-19 vaccinations to children ages 5 to 11. For more information, visit the Province of B.C.'s website.
